on this page, you can find documentation of the projects i have worked on for Major Studio 1! there is a focus on process and theory. my domains for this semester were initially defined as i) closed-loop living systems, ii) space settlement, and iii) digital fabrication. through the analytical, strategic, and conceptual processes documented on this page, i have revised my domains to encompass i) plants, ii) space settlement, iii) bio-inspired engineering, and iv) the perspective of the machine.
as i progress toward the final project of the semester, these domains will be the overarching pivot points my work will revolve around
a breakdown of my recent intentionality studies regarding my final project for the semester
contains a before-and-after comparison of two statements of intent, along with some comments on the process that evolved them.
the end result is a clear, crystalized direction for the final project of the semester
three two-dimensional explorations of concepts following the development of my chosen domains. these are centered around digital fabrication and space settlement
a design for a small, portable hydroponics cart as an experimental research platform for hydroponic technology
a narrative about a happy hydroponics unit on the International Space Station
[ideas in form: 4D]
an analysis of the Zero-g Orbital Hydroponics Automaton (ZOHA), the result of my 5-dimensional interaction study and the culmination of my initial domains, closed-loop living systems, space settlement, and digital fabrication
