five short design projects were completed in five days; one project per day. this page lists all five and links to detail pages for each one.
day 1: two desired objects; one for fun and one for de-cluttering an at-home workshop
day 2: a small project focused on creating a 3D print of a crater
day 3: a series of proceedurally-generated crystal structures for 3D printing
day 4: a city on mars is imagined [at right]
day 5: detail of hydroponic agriculture systems used for such a city..or any city
two objects designed and printed:
the first is a piece of math art, a shape called an 'oloid.'
the second is a custom tool-holder for my workshop space at home.
a topological map of barringer crater, arizona (also known as meteor crater, USA) was parametrically created using grasshopper for Rhino 5.
a proceedural art project, "crystal formation" takes the form of a series of 3D printed crystal structures which, like actual crystals, are each generated from a single 'seed.'
where will humans live on mars? in lava tubes, of course! here is a plan for an extendable city layout for settling these huge structures.
a plan for a responsive hydroponic agriculture (hydroculture) system designed using modified hysteresis coupled with machine learning to produce ideal crops.
